Overview 

MKS SBASE is a latest motherboard for 3D Printer ,designed by Makserbase (MKS).

It is based on ARM platform and uses 32bit 100M Cortex-MS MCU-LPC1768.

Features

1. Using 32bit 100M Cortex-M3 MCU-LPC 1768, and improve its performance highly.
2. Support highly modular open source firmware , easy for secondary development.
3. Support network function, then proceed remote control via IE Explorer.
4. Using DRV8825 stepper driver which supports 32-microstep and with excellent cooling.
5. Currents of the stepper motor can be set directly, which can avoid the damage .
6. Using high quality FR-4 4 layers PCB and special design for cooling.
7. Using professional power chip, support 12V-24V DC input.
8. Good to work with MKS LCD12864 and MKS TFT touch screen.If you use the other 12864 we can’t sure it can work .
(Can't work with MKS MINI12864LCD,OLED12864 and LCD2004 display.)

    Excellent interface upgrade from the standard simple monochrome LCD + dial found with most 3d printer setups. Using with Marlin. The menu system is a little bit quirky but everything important is there, such as pre-heat, home, move, fan control. I'm using this with an MKS Base 1.5 board, and it's quite simple to set up; likewise it appears it'd be straightforward to connect to ramps 1.4. Note that there are different versions of the firmware (for this touchscreen + sd reader), you'll find instructions in another review, simple enough to flash. Overall, this thing seems to be worth the money - but be somewhat careful with handling/installation, I fried my first one without knowing how (guessing static charge).

    Great Screen, but with my Modified firmware it's AMAZING!

    I love this screen as a development platform, when you get the screen it has a fine user interface, but it's a bit dated. I have spent a good amount of time modifying the interface to make what i believe is an extremely well put together printer controller. I have posted below a link where you can download all the files for my updated GUI version of the firmware. The board uses a 4 pin uart connection to interface with the controller and will work with absolutely any control board that has the ability to interface that way. Link to the firmware- [...] I have also attached some photos of the interface i have designed. All you have to do to use it is copy the firmware files onto the sd card and insert it into the screen then power on.
